This species of bleeding heart, native to the Eastern United States, is a gorgeous addition to a shade garden. Strings of heart-shaped flowers rise up out of fern-like foliage in the spring, and might even last through some of the summer if the conditions are right. The daughter of one of our customers and friends requested this one, and Tim recalled it being a favorite of his as a child. This one will self-seed to spread in naturalized areas.
